A Monday evening in Århus
On Monday evening my boss invited my department to a big event where Kofi Annan and Bill Clinton were guest speakers! Exciting experience. Both really down to earth and really good speakers - Kofi Annan spoke mostly about his life and achievements - among them his proudest moment (Nobel Peace Prize) and his saddest moment (not being able to stop the Iraq war). Bill Clinton came to pass on the message on how he believes the world can be saved by reducing C02 emissions and reducing inequality. We could've stayed for hours listening to him. He looked older than I expected. Here's a photo of him taken on my mobile phone. We weren't allowed to take cameras.
I also took a video clip - but on Sony Ericsson it's in some strange format that my computer won't recognise... Once I figure it out, I'll upload it. Kofi Annan spoke first and I hadn't realised that I could just take photos with my phone... His wife is Swedish and she was there too.
It was a fun evening - completely unexpected and unforgettable.
