Don't leave me behind!!

Don't leave me behind!!

Magnus our cat hates it when Kasper leaves. When I'm home alone during the week, he ignores me and he's hardly ever home. But as soon as Kasper's home for the weekend, Magnus spends most of the day inside, purring, playing games, and generally expects a lot of love and attention. On Sunday evening, after Kasper had packed, Magnus decided to pack him self into Kasper's suitcase!

Morris, our other cat doesn't mind Kasper leaving... more space and attention for him!

Update on our apartment

On Sunday a couple came to see the flat. On Aisling's recommendation, we (read "Kasper") baked cinnammon buns... Anyway, according to the EA, they LOVED the flat. But we haven't heard from again, unfortunately.

Today the estate agent will show a mother who wants to buy a flat for her daughter. Apparently they're crazy about the area.

I don't know whether to say cross your fingers... I'm sad to leave Århus, my friends, my flat, my work. Århus is a wonderful little town - we live close to everything - the gym, the pool, the sea, the shops, all our friends :-(

Tomorrow's my mom's second last treatment

I've been thinking about you all day today, Mom. I'm happy I could get through on the phone earlier before you left for Windhoek. This evening I've been surfing and found a really interesting weblog http://grove.ufl.edu/~johndon/blog/ about a lady called Jacki. I read her January 2005 entries (under Archives) - many similarities between your and her treatment after-effects, as well as her dilemma with hair vs no hair :-) Anyway, I think you'll like it. By the time you read this, your second last chemo will be over and there'll only be ONE left!!
All my love, Carmen

And we will fly...

Sandboarding in Swakopmund Namibia

... in my beautiful ballooooon!

We've bought our tickets and Swakopmund/Cape Town here we come!!! Only 63 days to go!!! This includes:

  • 6 weekends with hubby Kasper
  • 3 work weekends
  • at least 4 deadlines at work
  • 1 game: SK Aarhus vs Randers, and
  • 9 spinning hours with my favourite spinning instructor)

Yes as shallow as this may sound, I have every intention of getting into shape before squeezing into a bikini and stretching out on a beach in the sunny south! Hehe - yes, eat your hearts out my pale Danish friends! (I er jo mere end velkomne til at tage med :-) Flybilletter kan købes her www.ltu.de)

A grey day in Copenhagen

On Monday I had high hopes for an exciting day in Copenhagen. I didn't walk for more than an hour before I was drenched. My phone wouldn't take photos - except for this single test shot of the Danish parliament. Anyway, I had lunch with Kasper close to his work at a delightful little place called "Lagkagehuset" which in English means "Layer cake house" - well, the name sounds delicious in Danish....

The rest of the day I slept ... yes slept. A peaceful 4 hours of sleep while the rain pelted down outside. In the evening I had a cosy evening with Katrine in their lovely flat in Østerbro. So much to talk about, so little time...

Yesterday morning I took the bus back to Århus. Sad to leave Kasper behind. At 17h00 someone came to look at the flat. No news though... :-(

Dejlig København

... or "lovely Copenhagen" - that's where I am until Tuesday. I love the hustle and bustle of the city, the Copenhagen dialect, the Swedes (yes all shop assistants here seem to be Swedish!), the canals, the crazy, speedy cyclists, and the brand new metro!
